Programn overview

Understanding the program

The Uthabiti Program—named after the Swahili word for 'resilience'—strengthens organizational sustainability and resilience within African civil society organizations. We address the multidimensional nature of sustainability through integrated approaches to financial, operational, and programmatic resilience.

Through collaborative methodologies and context-specific support, we enhance organizations' abilities to adapt to changing environments while maintaining mission focus. Our approach emphasizes indigenous knowledge systems, mutual accountability, and innovative resilience strategies that ensure vibrant, independent civic spaces.
